Meet Nettie

Early Life and Education: Evangelist Nettie Jones was born in Long
Island, New York, and spent her formative years in Orrum, a small town
that holds a special place in her heart. She attended Orrum High
School, where her love for basketball was ignited. Nettie was not just
a player but a star on the girl’s basketball team, consistently
leading the scoring charts and helping secure two consecutive
championships. This impressive performance earned her a prestigious
4-year scholarship to North Carolina Central University.
After a stint at North Carolina Central, Nettie embarked on a
different journey and enlisted in the US Army from 1987 to 1995.
During her service, she continued to pursue her education, earning an
Associate Degree in Information System Technology.

Spiritual Journey and Service:

Nettie’s spiritual journey is the core part of her identity. She is
currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology while actively
speaking and serving as an Evangelist at First Orrum Missionary
Baptist Church. Her passion for helping and inspiring people is
evident in everything she does.

Professional Achievements:

Nettie started her professional career in information systems
technology and later transitioned as a Customer Service Representative at Onstar, where she has been recognized as a top-performing agent. She is also an independent business owner in the direct sales industry and has achieved one of the highest levels within the company. Nettie firmly believes that we are all created to be change agents in this world, sharing knowledge and wisdom with as many people as possible.

Family and Personal Life:

In addition to her impressive professional achievements, Nettie is a
devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She and her husband, Cameron Jones, are the proud parents of six children and the adoring
grandparents of nine grandchildren. Her family is a significant source of motivation for her, pushing her to leave a lasting legacy. Evangelist Nettie enjoys reading and making a difference in the lives of others through her dedication to volunteering at nursing homes. She embodies the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman, balancing her roles as a mother, wife, entrepreneur, and evangelist with grace and faith.

Author, Speaker and Advocate:

Nettie’s journey through life’s challenges and triumphs led her to
become an author. She contributed to the book “Shine: An Anthology of
Healing,” a project curated by Dr. Tonya Scott that encourages readers
to break free from the walls they build around themselves. Her work,
titled “The Walls Within,” is a testament to her transformation during
a season of homelessness, brokenness, confusion, and singleness.
Through this project, she emerged happily married, a homeowner,
thriving in ministry, and experiencing continued healing. Nettie
believes in sharing her testimony to inspire others to overcome
obstacles and find healing. She is also featured as a guest on the
Podcast with the Faith Sistas: “Doing Life Together” hosted by sisters
Chettie Martin, Deidre Mebane, and Jequetta Sutton sharing her
powerful testimony of healing and dedication to serving others.
Nettie’s calling to evangelism enables her to speak at her church and
as a guest in life-changing events, sharing her faith and wisdom with
audiences far and wide. Her spirit-led powerful speeches resonate with
those seeking spiritual guidance and personal transformation.
